Fingal not-for-profit wins Business Excellence and CSR Awards

Empower, the local development company for Fingal has been awarded ‘Best Not for Profit Organisation’ at the Fingal Dublin Business Excellence and CSR Awards 2019. The awards ceremony took place on Friday, 15th November 2019 in the Crown Plaza Hotel, Dublin Airport.
The awards recognise and reward the success of the business community in the Fingal Dublin region and is organised by Fingal Dublin Chamber and sponsored by Fingal County Council. This year saw a record number of entries for the awards and there were five nominees in ‘Best Not for Profit Organisation’ category in total.
Commenting on the award, Chairman of Empower’s Board, Councillor Kieran Dennison, said “I am delighted that the work of the whole team at Empower over the last year has been recognized in this way. We will continue to strive for excellence in all the work that Empower does and to have the greatest impact possible, providing employment and community services to the people who need it most. I would like to congratulate each member of the staff on this achievement.”
Empower CEO, Adeline O’Brien, said “This award recognizes the many collaborations with our partners, and the impact and positive outcomes our work has for the people we serve across Fingal. The team work hard to improve the lives and futures for some of the most marginalised people in our community.
