Work Able
WorkAble is the name of Empowers Workability Programme.
WorkAble aims to improve access to employment, employment supports, and training for people with disabilities of 16 years and over.
This includes:
- Support of a Job Coach
- Progression Planning
- Access to Work Placements
WorkAble works in a person centred way and provides assessments, and individual supports to facilitate progression into education, further training and employment.
Soft Skills Training, Employment Skills Training, Specific Specialist Training aimed at supporting a person into employment are available.
The programme aims to build the capacity of employers to recruit people with disabilities through information dissemination, bespoke supports and awareness measures as well as webinars, collaboration and recruitment fairs.
