Empower celebrates International Roma Day
On 8th March we celebrated International Roma Day at the Bracken Court Hotel, Ballbriggan.
The event was a celebration of culture and friendship. The day was a joint initiative between Empower and Musicantia, a Roma community led group of professional musicians who work with Irish and other migrant communities.
The event was well attended and brought together a broad range of people including leaders of the Roma Community from Dublin, Cork, Monaghan, Dundalk, and Drogheda as well as people from other ethnicities and cultures. This event highlighted that the Empower Intercultural strategy is paying dividends! We’re already looking forward to next year!
